Grey's Anatomy is in HD!!!

Wow, has anyone seen Grey's Anatomy in HD?? It was so cool last night!! Not a new episode yet, but it was one that I had missed. I don't know if you were already receiving it in HD and this is just new to us on our cable system, but last night was the first time we got a chance to see it, and wow, it was so cool. It's also in surround sound, and when someone spoke from behind, the sound came from one of the rear speakers. Just too cool!!!! It was already a super show, but this just makes it better!!

Guess this should have been posted on the positive forum, oh well...

Janet, don't feel dumb, there is so much new technology out there, unless you are making a real effort to keep up, it can be very confusing. To view HD in HD, you have to have a wide screen TV that is setup to receive HD. In February 2009 all stations will be required to broadcast in digital format which means most will be HD. If you don't already have one, your next TV will probably be HD. You can't hardly get TV's that aren't any more. That can be your present next year, hehe. Some guys have boats, some hunt, my hubby is into motorcycles, old cars and TV & movies. So we have a rear projection LCD big screen tv with surround sound. There are so many remotes in our living room that I can't really work them. If I want to watch a DVD, someone has to help me. When I had some friends over to watch a movie with me, my family left detailed instructions and even drew pictures of the remotes I would have to use and which buttons to push to make things work. And I'm an engineer. I'm usually too busy to watch much but I do like Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. We also have a DVR (digital video recorder) which is setup to record these shows whenever they are on, so if I miss the time to watch them, my oldest daughter will set it up so I can watch when I'm ready. I actually like it this way because we can skip the commercials. This TV stuff is one of the things that makes me feel old. I really need to sit down and learn the remotes.

Only wide screen TV's work with HD? We don't have it then... Our newest TV is probably about 2 years old now. Guess I'll have to start saving up for that now. I wanted to get new flooring., carpets with furbabies just isn't working and with puppies now and then...it's worse. Oh decisions...decisions... We just may have to wait on the newer TV unless we hit the lottery...and I'd have to play it to win..lolol
