Hope things are better between you and your husband concerning the tatoo.

I agree with Tink. I have NEVER seen a tatoo on an older man or woman that I thought looked good. IMO it definitely looks worse on an older woman. That's why I've always stopped myself from getting one.

thank you. yes, things are better but he still hates the fact that i got a tattoo. he still wants me to have it removed. i went for a consultation and i just dont think i can do it. it takes 7-10 treatments and they are said to be extremely painful and you have to wait a month between treatments. i just dont see me doing that. plus...the treatments are $250 EACH!!! so...um...NO...i'm not going to do it. plus...i have to wait until the tattoo is 4 months old before they will do the treatments and by then, he will be used to it

thanks for asking tho we are really doing fine...we have had a GREAT week, friends and family have been in town and we have really enjoyed that.

yeah, if i had them in places that people would see them when I am older, i would be concerned. but by the time i am old enough for them to look tacky, i don't think i will be wearing a bikini or a short shirt or anything like that which would reveal the tattoo. they are all concealed and only visible when I want them to be visible. this is another reason I am not getting any more...i am out of "inconspicuous" areas the most visible place I have on is on the top of my foot..and again...it is covered when i want it covered.

Sure hope I didn't hurt your feelings about the 'old' talk. I've always wanted a tatoo also, but I would want it where I could see it. As I get older, my skin just isn't holding the shape it use to...LOL I have to live vicariously through others.

I just got a pretty large tattoo on my back of a rose - the stem with some leaves and flowers go into a lower back tattoo. It's really gorgeous. My rose tattoo that used to "grow" out of my bikini is somewhat wilted, but the truth is I don't care. My tattoos are hidden. Some people do tend to stereotype you when they see tattoos. It's just human nature, so I only show them when I want them to be seen.

I love them both, even the wilted rose on my tummy. They are who I am, and I like using my body as a way to express who I am (no pole dancing or anything like that) but with clothing, jewelry, the way I wear my hair, etc. I have a lot of fun with it, and I just turned 60.

By the way, tattoos hurt like h*ll!
