Stay home when you're sick!
Joels GF has been here sick much of the weekend. She's looked miserable and sounds awful with a headache, congested cough, fever, etc.
This morning I woke up with it! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I can understand her wanting to have him around to keep her company and pamper her a bit when she's sick, but did she HAVE to drag it out here to me?!? I'd just love to tell people who do this to "Stay home when you're sick! The rest of us don't want it!"

You said it Tink!
I hated those hero teachers who would come to work with all kinds of infectious stuff because "The kids need me." The first infectious person (teacher or student) always starts the year off with their infection, and people just keep passing it along until Spring. Send the gf home.

That always makes me angry too! My neices seem to always be sick around Christmas time and then they come into my Mothers small house and pass it to everyone. I've done told them that if they are sick, stay home, they'll still get their gifts. They are 25 and 30 years old, both single. If they come sick this year, we're going back home!
Is this a new girlfriend Tink? I thought he let one go.....

Janet, they were apart for a few weeks, and now are back together. He says now that they're both working, aren't living togther and have hashed some issues out, they're closer than ever.
That's fine... she's nice enough to have a round, but when she's sick I wish they'd stay at her place instead of dragging it out here to me. I feel like crap so am NOT happy about it. Shannon told me today that the co-worker she thinks she got it from has been sick for 2 weeks with it. Gee thanks for sharing.

I know how you feel, Tink. I hate to be around sick people too, especially when it can be avoided. At Christmas time there's always someone in my husband's family that comes sick. You just figure that in a few days you'll have it too. It certainly agravates me!!!! It seems even worse to be sick in the summer so I hope that you don't have it for very long, Tink.

When I was little, our teachers always gave out trophys to the kid(s) on the last day of school who didn't miss a day of school all year. There were kids coming to school with strep throat! I ALWAYS caught it. I'm so susceptible to throat infections, and they're the reason why one of my kidneys is damaged now!

As a teacher, I never did understand what was so great about kids having perfect attendance. Didn't their parents realize that we got sick of even the best kids?
We needed them to be absent every so often, not to be given awards for it!
