I couldn't imagine. So, what do you eat?

Then I'm either going to go buy myself one or put it on a Christmas list. I would like to have a web-cam, bluetooth headset and a navigation system.

Oh River, you won't believe it, but all I can eat are potatoes with butter, coffee with milk and sugar, a little 100% grape juice, a little 100% cranberry juice, and some vitamins. If I eat anything else, the pain is incredible. Our son has about 10 foods right now. He also gets severe pain from other foods. My husband can eat whatever as long as he takes into account his diabetes and blood pressure which are both under control. The dog, Bowser, is almost as limited as I am - I make his biscuits and his main meal each day is spaghetti with tuna and oil. We all had Lyme disease and it damaged our immune systems and our guts. Don't know how my husband got away without that part but I am glad he did. Can you believe our son picked out a dog that is as bad as we are, and from Lyme, too!

So holidays are no longer about food at all, they are exclusively about love and friendship. It makes it hard to join friends or family for the holiday, but easy to wish them well and to be glad we have them.

Sorry you're in the health that you are, but wouldn't it be great if EVERYONE'S holiday was about love and being together instead of food?

I am glad to see you have found foods that work for you and your family.

It's great to see that friends, and family are so appreciated, it warms my heart. We all have something to be grateful for.

That's a good Christmas list Janet! I hope you get all of that! Brendon got a bluetooth headset today (for only $10! ) and he's loving it. He's so funny when he gets a new "toy"! He can't think of anything else. LOL!

Me too! I love getting 'toys'. I went for a short shopping spree with LynneB today and bought my son a bluetooth headset for his birthday. I bought me one too..LOL My son's birthday is Dec. 20th. Right now I have it charging...can't wait to try it out before my son gets home from work.

All right, Janet! I've been looking at blue tooth headsets for my cell phone. What did you end up getting?

Yes - River - it's good we have something to eat and that our son does OK for now. Our doctors hold out hope that it will get better so I am still trying to be patient. They are the ones who got me down to this little food - it lets me actually work instead of spending the days in pain so I am blessed. We moved to our current home to be close to better medical treatment for us. In the new year, we'll be going to some new therapies and maybe things will get easier.

I miss food! Holiday food is so tempting!

I went to Big Lots and bought an Emerson Bluetooth Wireless Headset. I tried it a little last night, but I want to try and see what it's like in the van and outside. It was $20.00. Angie got a better price. Most of what I've seen are a whole lot higher, I just didn't want to spend that much.

No Diana, I didn't get any other good buys. I don't usually.....LOL Seems like everyone I know finds things, but not me. I'm not much of a shopper. When I read that Angie got a computer for $500 I thought, wow, what a great deal, but then, I wasn't looking for a computer. I don't know if I would know a great deal if it slapped me in the face...LOL

Shopping for a deal does take so much time. I don't have time for stores anymore - do all of it online using various search engines. Please let me know how the sound quality is for those speaking to you on that Emerson - I may get one.
