Reuger's Sick

I just got back from the vet and he gave Reuger a couple of shots. He said to really watch that he doesn't get dehydrated and if he starts getting really sick again to call him even if it's in the middle of the night. Our vet is a friend of ours and I really appreciated his concern. I have to take Reuger back in tomorrow morning and he'll decide if he needs to be on oral antibiotics then.

Diana I just read your post about Rueger glad to hear that he is feeling better, and I hope he is much better by tomorrow. These little ones touch our hearts in a big way. Gucci sends hugs and kisses..oxoxo hurry up and get better.

Sorry Rueger is sick again. That would scare me too. Hope he is better soon.

He seems much better again today. I'm suppose to run him back into the vet this morning and he'll decide if he needs to be on oral antibiotics. He's eating and acting so much better.

How is Reuger dong? I hope he's all better.

Not to be indelicate, but is the blood in his poop or is he throwing up? Gracie Leigh had blood and mucous in her poop for a few weeks. She had giardia and possibly some kind of worm. She and Max got flagyl and two doses of Panacur, I changed her diet to chicken and rice, and now she's fine.

Sometimes it takes a while for their tiny little bodies to get back to normal.

I've not read much here the last couple of days. I'm sorry Diana that I didn't read this about Reugerl. I hope he's doing better. I always here such positive things about the chicken and rice. I will always keep some on hand, that and pumpkin in case I should ever have to use it.

Reuger is better. I know that I've said that before but he really is. The doctor put him on oral antibiotics and he's back to his old self. I really should have taken him in when he was throwing up so much. I didn't realize that the doctor could have given him some meds for that. Live and learn!

Thats great Diana, i'm glad Reuger is feeling a lot better! It might be a good idea to give him some yogurt while hes on antibiotics. Many years ago i was told to do this, and have done it ever since.
