I was e-mailes this site: www.parentsagainstjunkfood.org from America's Test Kitchen. It has lower fat recipes like mac. & cheese & wacky cake to help w/ kids weight. It also has book recommendations. Thought some might want to check it out.

The whole U.S. is obese. We really need to take care of the kids, though. You wouldn't believe how many on my bus are really, really obese. It's sad, because they are going to have such a hard time in P.E. and other classes. Besides the fact that the other kids will put a target on the heavy ones' back. Kids are so cruel!!

I agree! Great post! America needs to get a handle on this obesity issue, especially with children. After seeing my dad suffer with heart disease, I'll be damned if ANY of my kids are overweight. It really sux to watch him suffer so. He is not even overweight. It is strictly his genes.

My son is so tall (almost 6 ft) and eats us out of house and home. So get ready to buy food in bulk....LMAO. My son eats just about every two hours, I don't know how he ever makes it through a school day. He's thin, but really a nice healthy weight.

Hey that's a thought, maybe I should just eat when and what he does and call it the Rick Diet......LOLOL
