The Week After Christmas

'Twas the week after Christmas, and all through the house-
Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.
The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste-
At the holiday parties had gone to my waist.
When I got on the scales there arose such a number!

When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber).
I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,
The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese
And the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please."

As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt
And prepared once again to do battle with dirt
I said to myself, as I only can
"You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!"

So away with the last of the sour cream dip,
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished"
Till all the additional ounces have vanished.
I won't have a cookie - not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.
I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore

But isn't that what January is for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!

The lady in charge of the Weight Watcher meeting read this last night. Everyone got a real kick out of it.

My Aunt has already lost 3 pounds on WW! I've been home with Gracie Leigh so I'll have to start next week.

It's fun, isn't it?

For one i had my baby but that was like only 10lbs, i wish i had a 40 lbs kid
It's called shocking your system...
For two months all i ate was:

Breakfast 1-cup of Cherrio's with skim milk
Lunch 1- hot dog, no bun nothing !
Dinner - steamed Veggies and 1/2 chicken breast.
black coffee
tons of water..

It wasn't to good of a diet, but it worked, i cut out all whites, and mostly all other foods.. i'm still doing my WW but i only do 16 points a day, my weight is a steady 112 lbs.

I was 123lbs when i got pregnant, i'm very active now, with a full time job and a 10 month old, i just watch everything i eat and i chew, chew my food.. i don't get a chance to sit down a have a meal, can't even remember the last time i did that, i usually don't eat breakfast or lunch, and dinner is sometimes 8:00 at night and is usually a WW frozen dinner or a lean cuisine. i hate all fast foods, can't stomach them and that's whats all around me where i live, sorry but i wouldn't even feed my dog that stuff, the guys buy fast food stuff were i work and i can't even watch them eat it... sometimes i'll get a slice of plain pizza for lunch or some soup but that's about it... not to much of an eater i guess...

That's not such a bad diet - I've seen much less healthy ones. If you threw in some
fruit, and substituted the hot dog for a healthy protein, you'd be eating a fairly healthy diet.

I still haven't gotten myself to WW. I may not be ready. My lowest points was 18/day at the end when I got tired of trying to reach my goal. Maybe I'll go over Friday.

The hot dogs were Hebrew hot dogs all natural, the reason i kept the fruit out of the diet when i started i didn't want any sugar.. i do eat fuit now... but very little, i try and stock up on veggies & chicken.. but there are only so many ways you can cook chicken... getting sick of eating it...
