Enjoy the harvest!
Every year my family gets together to go to an apple orchard. We go on a hay ride, pick apples and simply enjoy being out in the country together.
Our annual apple day is today.  My mother, brother and his family, both of my girls and grandkids are going. It's a tradition we've done since I was a child. Does anyone else have family gatherings like this?

I wish we did, but yours sounds so much fun. Neither of our parents had any kind of tradition except get togethers at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I should have started our own, but then it would always be up to me to get it going. Even though I love the idea, I just don't want to add something else on to my back...

That sounds like such fun!! When I was in grade school we used to take trips to the pumpkin patches in October. I always remember those trips and they were such fun. I just love the fall.

We will be going to the orchards very soon! I think we are going to be heading out that way this coming weekend. It was nasty out and raining all day today. I really like going to the orchards. Every year we try to go pick our own pumpkins if it is nice out. Sounds like you had fun this weekend. ((HUGS))
