Daughter Coming to Visit!!!! Yaaaa!!!

I'm so excited!!!! Our oldest daughter is coming to visit for a few days. She's been going to school and working at a bank in a city a couple of hours away. She was supposed to work full time all summer to save some money for school, however, they've cut her hours to only 3 hours a day, most of the time, and it's not worth her drive to work there such a short time with gas so high, so hubby told her if she wants to work for him for a few days she can. He needs the help, so she gave 2 weeks notice last Friday. Her summer class ends on the 30th, and Aug 1 is her last day to work, so she will be home that weekend. I'm not sure how long, because classes resume in mid-August, and she will be taking a full load in the fall and will not be working. She has changed her major to engineering, and will need lots of study time so we will be helping her out for a while.

Can't wait to have her here!!! Since Melissa got married, I don't hear so much from her, so it will be so nice to have Karen home!!! I get to spoil her a little bit more!!

How exciting that your daughter, Karen, is coming home! You'll be able to get some really good one-on-one time with her before she gets busy again. I'm not sure that I knew that your oldest daughter was married. It sounds like she has a good husband.

Oh, Karen is not married. She's busy working and going to school. She has guys who are interested, but she's being very particular. When the right guy comes along she'll know. Will be so nice to have her home.

I'm sure she will meet a lot of nice guys studying engineering!! ;-)

I thought that when I read it that the "hubby" was "her" hubby but I can see now that it's "your" hubby! That's where I got confused. Just another senior moment!!!

Marilyn enjoy your time with Karen, I have to give it to these young girls today. They are very smart and career oriented... The world will be at their fingers one day for sure..
