Another School Delay
We have had so many school delays this year due to weather. Today we are delayed 2 hours because the wind was so bad last night it made the snow drift into the roads. A plow hasn't even been down our road yet.
Even if we have a delay, Ricky is still suppose to drive to Frankfort to take the bus to Lafayette for his college classes. There was just no way that he could make it down the road. He'll be able to attend his high school classes hopefully at 11:00. I just don't understand where the plows are...they are usually out by now. Guess I need to turn the scanner on and see what roads they are plowing.

don't know weather it's a good thing or not to be delayed, i think i would just as soon have the whole day off instead of waiting around to go at a later time.
Keith went out at his usual time 4 am haven't heard from him to find out how the roads are. Just waiting for the weekend, it's suppose to get into the upper 30's it will feel like a heat wave. Enjoy your time Janet, hope Ricky makes it to school without getting stuck.

I can't imagine living like you do. Snow drifts, snow plows. Sounds like a whole 'nother world. Everything's just brown here.

I would much rather have the brown Marilyn!!
They ended up calling school off for the day. Wind is a little too strong and blowing the roads just. We've had one plow go by twice so far today. I love an adventure, so since I'm really low on groceries....I'm going to venture out and see if I can get to town in a bit.

I hope that all of you that are snowed in will stay safe and warm. Janet, why don't you just have one of the guys pick up stuff at the store since they're already out in it. They can call you from the store and you can tell them what to pick up. Save yourself a trip.

Janet, you must have a lot of patience, would lose my mind being delayed that long.
I know you will be glad when winter is over.

Yay!!! I made it to town just fine...wow there were some place piled high on the side of the road so the drifts must have been good ones...LOL. I really need to start getting groceries every week....I spent way more than I should have...but then..I usually do when it comes to groceries.

Yay! Glad you made it safely!
I remember one time when I was in college, I was staying with a girlfriend in a trailer over the weekend, and we got so much snow and the wind blew so hard, it drifted up to the top of the trailer on the side where the doors were and we couldn't get out! All there was to eat in the house was cereal and soda - no water. We were stuck for a day and a half - not so long, and we weren't scared - too dumb, I guess!!! LOL!

That is so funny Gayle....when I was first married we lived in a house trailer right here where our house is built. One winter I got up in the middle of the night to go to the restroom and walked in snow!!! It was snowing a light snow all night and the wind was just howling and we ended up with snow on the inside of both doors and in the hallway. Needless to say...we decided to build the house sooner than we had planned. Oh the memories....LOL
