Mom Fell
I went to bed early Friday night because I wanted to get up early, get the dogs taken care of, take a shower and then head to Indy with Lynne for the PetExpo. At midnight the phone rang and it was my Mom. She had fallen and was very nervous about it. I told her I'd be right there so I didn't bother to change out of my nightgown, just pulled on some sweat pants and headed to town. The boys were asleep so I didn't bother to wake them up.
Right before I got to Mom's my phone rang and it was Rick. He knew something was up because Joey kept bugging him. I told him what was going on and went on to Mom's. She had fallen around 11 PM, but waited an hour to call me. Mom decided to go to bed and her bed is just a little high and when she went to get in, she slid out of it and hit her head on a box or magazine rack...we don't know which. I gave her some tylenol and then put cold rags on her head. The bump was a good size, but it went down alot. The pain finally quit and she had calmed down. She was doing good and since I need to get some sleep before my day with Lynne, I went back home and was able to get to sleep by 3 AM. I had to get up at 6 so I wasn't real rested...LOL. I called Mom and she was doing really well so I knew it was safe to go on to Indy. I also called my brother to go check on her and he did. Sometimes this is so hard with aging parents. I'm glad (for the most part) she's a strong woman and doesn't let things get her down too bad. Lynne and I had a great time in Indy. I called Mom on my way home and she was doing good.
