Gucci has ear infection

Gucci will not let me near her ears, so I called the vet. and she is going to prescribe a pain medication. I guess she feels that when I lift guccis ears they hurt. I really hate for her to have oral medication, if I can keep her away from it the better, due to her liver shunt surguery. Any other suggestions I am desperate!!

Gina, is there someone around that can help you hold your little girl? I know this sounds harsh, and i also know what a goofball i am with my girls, i hate doing ANYTHING to them that they dont like, so i know exactly how you feel, but it is important for her to get the meds in her ears, so girl, as much as i hate to even say this, you will have to be firm with her for just a few minutes a day
My girls walk away with me, they really do, but when they need their meds, they can turn upside down, or inside out, but for that minute, i am in control LOL
Wrap her in a towel, so she cant kick with her legs, let someone hold her head tight, and you put the drops in.
