My Daughter Is Graduating College

Need to brag a little/lot. I've posted before about my oldest daughter, Laura. She graduated a year early from high school (1989), went 3 semesters to college, got pregnant, quit school, got married (1991), had twin boys at 26 weeks, had a daughter (1997), and had a daughter (1998). Somewhere in there, she started taking a few college courses around her husband and kids' schedules. One of the twins (Brandon) is bedridden and has a part-time nurse, so that is a major schedule consideration.

Yesterday, after 3 college semesters and a summer session, Laura passed Organic Chemistry after having failed the class three times. She'll be 37 next month and the amazing part is that she can work twenty years and still retire at a young age.

I'm the proudest moma in the world right now. It's funny that the other three have all graduated college and had academic success, but I must admit that this one makes me proudest. It's partly because she's had the most struggle (although self inflicted), but mostly because she's such a good person, a wonderful mother, and my best friend.

Oh, now that she's almost grown up, she'll be a High School Science Teacher.
