Since everything turned out to be alright, I think that it's really funny!!!! Your Mom saw some strange man sleeping on her couch and just left him there!!! While she calmly went about her morning!!!
 I can hear all of her children saying "Mom, what were you thinking leaving that strange man on your sofa?" and your Mom replying, "But he was sleeping so soundly that I didn't want to wake him." Oh my!!! I really am glad that everything turned out well. At least now you know that the door doesn't lock properly.
