TV went out yesterday!
Yesterday morning I had the TV on. We bought it in Jan. 07, it's a 42" plasma Toshiba. Anyway....I had it on and went to the back of the house and when I came back, there was no picture...just sound. The picture was kind of flashing. I thought at first it was just the station experiencing some difficulty, but no...that was just wishful thinking.
When I told my husband last night, you'd think it was some depressing news that was about to send him over the edge...it's just a freaking TV. Anyway..on the way into town (the guys had scouts) Ricky said that his dad said "that was a good investment." Ricky and I wanted that TV so it was a sarcastic remark that he had made. So today...I called h.h. gregg to tell them what it was doing and since it isn't under warranty, I was told to find a repair service near me by looking in the yellow pages. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? Doesn't anyone stand behind their products anymore with a repair tech? I did end up calling one here in town that will charge $50 just to look at it. We have to take it in to them, they will give us an estimate and then at our okay...fix it if possible. If it's not one thing....it's two...if it's not two....it's four. When does it end and when did customer service go out the window???? h. h. gregg is now a thing of the past to us.
