It sounds like he really needs the tubes in his ears. I know you would rather not have that, but it is so common, and usually works. Please take pictures of that little angel if he gets his tubes! He is just going to look as cute as ever.
I posted somewhere on this thread(?) about some of the problems my grandson Brandon was diagnosed with. He was also left back in kindergarten. Jessie was so worried! We all were. She had a school meeting with their team and Brandon scored a 93% in his State wide reading test! His lowest test score was 85% in math. His teacher and the rest of the team think he is just doing beautifully, has caught up, and now he's into Little League. Their school is amazing. They got a team together and took the doctor's evaluation and assessed it, delegated different staff members to work on various things with him, and so on. You really could not ask for better. He may still have some perceptual issues, but they are not affecting him at this time. So, even if Micah has any issues, they will work with him and he will be just fine. I do not think he has any issues. If his hearing is affected, of course his speech will be.
