Yes, I've been "missing, but in action". I have checked in on 4WT, just haven't stopped to post. I've made myself a committment to get back on here.
Kids and g-kids have been good. Laura and her 4 are still with us. We had a good Thanksgiving. Jeff's and Paula's families came over, so I had all 8 g-kids. Yes, had to come back to work to rest! I'm anxious to be on vacation for the last 2 weeks of the year. My last day of work will be the 18th and I'll come back on the 4th. Lots of time to play with my babies. I got the "promotion" at work which gives me more work (yeah), then I had to cover for Katrina (VP's admin) almost a month (out sick, then lap band surgery) and nobody sat at my desk while I was at hers. I'm in the ExxonMobil's Development Company, which means we (working with Construction, Drilling, Subsurface, Geoscience, Reservoir, etc.) build the platforms and such that EM's Exploration Company finds. When we have everything online, we transfer the project to EM's Production Company. So, we're transferring our Thunder Horse project, which involves a good amount of work. I've had ties to this project for several years and it's bittersweet to let her go. In 1996, I worked on Brown & Root's proposal to Exxon. In 2003, I worked in the office at KBR's (Brown & Root) Fab Yard where we built some of the "parts". Then, in 2004, I came to EM and ironically, Thunder Horse is one of my projects. To add to that, Harold engineered and his company built some of the "parts". Now, I've almost caught up at my desk and need to start working my 2010 online calendars and end of year reports. I think my workload will be drop a good bit by mid-January.
