We're Home!
Hi All! We got home yesterday afternoon. It is so good to be home. I didn't get to sleep in my bed though last night as I had to stay with my mom - my kids didn't get home till today. I"m looking forward to my own BED tonight!!!
I didn't sleep well either. My daughter's cat had been home alone for a week, so she wanted to visit - ALL NIGHT LONG. I was dreaming that someone was trying to wake me up, and then I felt them poke me in the arm. I opened my eyes, and there was that darned cat, jumping up and down on me!!! We had a good time in Oklahoma. We visited with Gary's sisters most everyday we were there and Gary got to see his sons and grandsons a couple of days. I drove out to my home town and it is always fun to go home. I took some pictures, and will down load them soon. I saw a couple of people I graduated with - that's always interesting! I saw my sister, brother, and sister-in-law - I don't see them very often, so that was nice. I tell you what though, I got my fill of snow and ice. WHEW! I am SO GLAD I don't live in the snow/ice. After 6 days, I was so tired of walking in the stuff everyday and freezing to death! I had to buy some fur lined boots, thank goodness for Walmart, and I wore them every day. I also had to buy some thick socks, my feet were freezing! I'm such a whimp! It would melt just a little bit each day, so every morning it was as slick as snot! LOL! I know you all who live up north know that, but my Texas buds might not. We drove our Toyota FJ cruiser and didn't have any trouble on the ice/snow. It's 4WD, but we didn't even have to get out of 2WD. It was slick though, but it handled great! Well, I'll try to download my pix, and post some soon! Glad to be back.
