Oh absolutely, I agree with Diana. You make SURE that he KNOWS he is responsible for any problems/issues that arise while she is in FL - and there surely will be problems. If there isn't, then I'll be a monkey's uncle . If he knows that he's going to have to go down there to help her when she gets in trouble, then maybe he will have second thoughts about taking her down there (his wife taking her down).

That is just insane! BUT, your mom is bound and determined to go, so what will be, will be. Just make it known to everyone that you absolutely are opposed to the trip and that you will not be helping in any way if she gets into trouble. I know that sounds heartless, but it is not. Your mom is being completely unreasonable, and your brother is crazy, stupid or both.
