I dont care how old one get's, I honestly feel that deep down inside each one of us wants to feel special and loved on their own Birthday. It's never a selfish feeling really i dont' think. I mean really? What's wrong with wanting to feel special?
I am sorry you went through this. I hope there have been days since your Birthday that you've had a moment to feel special and loved. Happy Belated Birthday!!
