When we first married, we lived in apartments, a rent house, then we bought our mobile home. We lived in our trailer for 3 or 4 years while we built our first dream home. That house had a lot of sweat equity. For colors, the toilet, tub, counter tops, sinks, kitchen appliances, Formica in kitchen, floor coverings, wall paper in bathroom were all HARVEST GOLD. I thought it was such a beautiful color. Our first appartment had been harvest gold & my sister's kitchen appliances were harvest gold. Carpet in master was gold, one bedroom was green, other and living were rust. We were so proud of our first home. In a couple of years, I realized what a mistake we had made. Harvest Gold had been in style for quite a while, and was going out
. If we'd stayed in that house, we'd have had a lot of expensive things to replace. Now I know better. More permanent fixtures are neutral colors or stainless steel now. I so understand.
