Kinda bumbed
I never did hear back from the newspaper, so assumed they'd hired the other applicant. Today I checked the papers site and see they've put the ad for an editor back up! So obviously, neither of us got hired.
 So I didn't lose out to someone more qualified, they just decided they didn't want me!
