Busy, Busy, Busy!!
October is always such a busy time for us. Not just because it is when harvest starts but because of so many other things. For the last two weekends we have given hayrack rides for the kids at church. We had a Sunday afternoon ride for the little kids in children's church. We had about 30 in all.
Then the next Friday evening we had our youth group out for a hayrack ride. Jaci always has a blast having them because she always tries to think of things to scare them. This year she sprayed them with silly string which in the dark can surprise you. We probably had around 45 in all. Then Saturday starting about 11:30 we had a Chi-Alpha, which is a Christian college group, from Wichita come out. They had about 50 young adults that came and half of those were internation students. In the meadow they played games and had different relays. They also had a pumpkin carving contest. The nice part is that they bring in porta-potties so I don't have anyone coming into the house. It's really fun but I get very tired of eating hot dogs!!!! They left about 10:30. Then on Sunday afternoon we moved my daughter, Dae Lynn, to town. She finally rented a cute little house. It's old but it's in real good shape. Rentals have been really hard to find since we had the flood because we still have people who are displaced. I hate to see her move out but once they have lived on their own it's hard to come back and have Mom make rules about living at home. Now my husband is doing harvest so I'm in and out of the house all day long. My job is to be on call for what ever is needed. Busy, Busy, Busy!!!!!
