If the storms could stay small, just large enough to cause excitement and have us close our office so we get some time off, and not large enough to cause real damage or loss of life. I sure don't look forward to evacuating again. I was so upset and worried that if a Cat 4 or 5 came through that we would loose our pictures and things. I packed them up in water resistant containers, but could not take everything with us. Next time I've said I will reserve a small U-Haul trailer when the storm is in the gulf just in case. Last time all the trailers were rented, so we took our cars and as much as we could and us and dogs headed west.

Marilyn, pictures we took many many years ago, we would take the negatives and put them in our safe deposit box at the bank so we'd hopefully be able to make copies if we should ever need to. Now with digital cameras and instant pictures it's harder. I suppose I should make sure I put everything on a CD and put in the box. Pictures mean the most to me, I can look at one picture and all the memories coming flooding back.
Anyway...I got off a bit, but I too love storms, but don't want alot of damage or anyone to get hurt. But the rush is so exciting.
