Crossing my fingers
I am supposed to go look at a couple of black Lab dams this afternoon. They belong to a co-worker of Shannon's and were left in his care when his brother moved. He wants very badly to find them a home and so he's willing to cut me a great deal if I'll take the pair of them.
I have only 2 dams old enough to breed right now, and 24 people on my waiting list again for upcoming litters. I'm a bit hesitant to get 2 more new dogs at the same time, but if I'm to keep up with demand, I need at least one more. I already have 4 dams, but Jessie can't breed till next spring, and Gypsy is only 4 months old, so will have to wait even longer. What's funny is that I have 2 chocolate, 2 yellow and if I get these today, 2 black. That would cover all the accepted Lab colors. Looks like Chip's going to be one VERY busy boy. My fingers are crossed that they're the quality I need.
