My aunt just moved into one of those communities where you go through "phases."
She's very healthy (Thank God), totally independent and has secretly told me that she really hates it there. She calls the other residents "the inmates." She just is not an old person - not even at 86! Luckily, she has a place in Florida and a country cottage so she doesn't have to stay there long.
