Travel woes :(
In November, my friend Kandace asked me to go on a girls trip to Cancun with her and her friends in February. I was like yeah that would be awesome! She came to New York with me, and a week after we got back I asked her about the trip to see when we were booking and what the total cost was, and what days I'd have to take off work. She said that while we were in New York, her friend booked the trip already without me. And apparently there were no seats left. I was pretty hurt by that. She seems to have been avoiding me ever since. I'm a little upset at how sketchy she has been to me.
Anyways, the week after that, I found out that my family (not immediate, but aunts and uncles and my grandma) were going to Cancun for two weeks and got a really good deal. I was asked to go on that trip too, but I thought maybe I'd try to get my own trip going with some other friends first... I did a mexico trip with family last year and it was great, but I just think I'd have a lot more fun with some girls my own age. Well luckily I found two girls who said definitely they'd come for sure!!! So I declined the family trip and the girls and I were going to figure out after New Years when we were going to do this! Yesterday I sent one girl a message about it. I couldn't believe the message I got back. On New Years Eve, she "fell for a guy from Eastern Canada" and promised she'd go visit him in March, so she won't have money to go on my trip in February. She was like "I hope you won't be mad at me" Seriously? I just got ditched for a guy she met for one night. So I emailed the other girl to see if she was still interested in just the two of us going or if she could find other friends to go. She said "Oh yeah I can't go. I'm broke" So there go my plans I've been in a bad mood since yesterday because of it.
