We're back home.....

We're back from my Aunt's funeral. It felt so good to finally be with my family and to cry together over losing her. We had so many members of our family that was there! One of my cousins I hadn't seen in probably 20 years or more was there. I scolded him about missing so much and I think that he's going to try and come back more. He does live further than the rest of us so he does have an excuse. Anyway, of course all the sisters were there and out of 16 cousins only 3 were missing. We had a lot of my cousins families there as well so it was a huge crowd. My Aunt's house worked out so well with a huge crowd like that in the fact that she had seating indoors and several places sit up outside as well so we never felt very crowded. My Uncle even had some of his family there with us.

We had a fifth wheel camper and two motor homes sit up in the yard. My Aunt Marva, my brother and his daughter, and Glen and I stayed with close friends to Larry and Joan. Glen and I actually slept in a really nice fifth wheel camper there. Their home was so beautiful inside and out. I thought about taking pictures but then decided against doing that. Their home was decorated in a country primitive style similiar to what I used to decorate in. So beautiful and they were so very nice as well.

Glen and I's wedding anniversary was on Monday but with everything going on we didn't celebrate it but while we were down there we had some rain here at home so we took our time coming home yesterday. We stopped at a couple of antique malls and a store called OOPS, which was interesting!! It had a lot of home decorating stuff like Kirkland's. I found a few things at the antique mall but not much at OOPS. We stopped and ate at a nice restaurant on the way home. It was sure nice to get home and see Jaci and the dogs. Jaci stayed here and held down the fort. I tried to get her to go but she has a hard time getting off of work and I think that she wants to make sure she gets some time off for vacation.

Anyway, we're home now. I missed all of you. Thanks so much for your prayers. This has been really difficult for me. Joan was an aunt/sister/almost mom to me and I loved her so much. I'm going to miss her laugh and her spunky ways. She was a good Christian woman who by her life showed Christ's love to others. But I know that we'll meet again in heaven and that makes all of this bearable.
