Sandy, you could also buy a used one to start and see how you like it. Someone else can take the hit on the depreciation. We bought a 2002 Fleetwood Wilderness 36' fifth wheel with three slides a couple of years ago for $17,000. It's in very good condition, and this was about half price. I'm sure you could find comparable deals on smaller pull behinds. Some people buy them with grand ideas and never really use them.
