We have Malamute Puppies!!!

Jessie's dog, Tikani, delivered 8 beautiful little pups on Sunday, by cesarean section. There are 6 females and 2 males.

She rejected the puppies at first, so we were bottle feeding, peeing and pooping them, and keeping them warm and calm. Thankfully, she began to care for them Monday night, and they have gotten chubby already!

She still has to be watched 24/7 because she lays on them and doesn't get up when they start squealing. She also nipped one on the head today. I don't know if that's normal, or what,but Jessie doesn't trust her yet. Jess had been staying up all night with her and Mackenzie has been doing day shift. I was there all day today to keep Mackenzie company and let Jessie sleep. Steve has been home, and was very helpful, but he has outworn Jessie's patience as of today. It's time for him to go back to work I guess.

They are the cutest little things! I have really enjoyed taking part in this!!! I'm a great-grandmother now

They are Alice, Molly, Rosie, Dancer, Nanook, Cheyenne, Zach and Cody. Cody is very demanding, and Mollie is the runt of the litter.
