How do I...
ask my old boss to be a reference on my resume? He wants me to go back and work for him SO BAD when I'm done school. I was careful not to say either way if I would or wouldn't while I was working there, because I knew I didn't want to.
Basically, the people I worked with were not easy to work with. It's tough to be a girl working in an engineering lab and in construction, and they made it no easier. I even CRIED at work because of how they were treating me. However, the company has trouble getting people to work for them (I knew nothing about them prior, just worked there for a school work term) so they won't fire who they have. The "higher-ups" like the manager and engineers were soooo nice and great, but everyone at the bottom just makes me not want to go back. There's a chance I would go back to them however, if there are no job opportunities in January when I want to start work. I wrote an e-mail tonight, but didn't send it yet. I was hoping you guys could give me some feedback! Hi Meryl, I am updating my resume, and I was wondering if you would mind being a reference. I will definitely keep Clifton in mind for after graduation, but I am also interested in other aspects of the industry and would like to see what else is out there. If you agree to be a reference, could you reply with your contact information? Thanks for your time! -Lindsey Taylor How's that? Any suggestions?
