Betsi! I made the mincemeat cookies tonight (in fact I'm not finished baking them all yet) and Gary LOVED them. He asked where in the world did I get a mincemeat cookie recipe.
He's going to the deer lease on Friday and I always have to send something along that he can eat quickly in case of low blood sugar, and these are PERFECT! Thanks so much for sharing your mom's recipe! I know you miss her lots, but she is still making people happy!

Oh Gayle, I'm so glad Gary likes them!! Mike does, too...big surprise!! Please tell Gary my mothers name was Elizabeth, and she was beautiful, inside and out

That's SO funny! My mom used to make buttermik pies and tell my boys that they were Vanilla Pies, lol!! They loved them, and we STILL call them Vanilla Pies
