A Bad Day.......

He has been doing so well. This is not uncommon, for people to fall back every so often. I am hoping he doesn't have to be in jail for too long.

It is so hard on DaelLynn and you guys! I went to Al Anon for about 2 years because of my SIL's drinking. It was so helpful.

Poor little Katie! Maybe DaeLynn should start thinking about adopting her, if she can. I am so sorry this is happening, Diana. It is a terrible disease, and if he is violent, she might be better off staying with you. Janet has a good point. He may need help and it would be good if he gets it.

Damon went to court this afternoon and bail is $750 for municipal court. He goes to district court tomorrow and will have bail charges there as well. I don't think that we're going to bail him out this time. His parents may decide to, I don't know.

Damon bought the liquor not the friend.....there was NO fishing involved. Dae Lynn talked to Cody and Damon had him scared to death. What she repeated to me makes me very scared to have her and the kids around him if he should ever drink again. However, our Pastor talked to her and he has dealt with problems like this in his own family and he has some things that he wants to council them both about. He said that if things are too complicated for him then he'll find someone to take over. He's a great guy and I'm sure will be very helpful.

Dae Lynn has a lot of things to decide in the next few days. I feel so sorry for her but she really is very strong and I know that she'll do what's best for her little family. I'm so glad that we're the kind of family that she can come to for support.

It really is great that Dae Lynn has such support from her family. I personally wouldn't want anyone to bail him out. Tough love is tough for a reason and he needs the time to get his head clear. Continued prayers being sent to your family Diana.

Damon went to district court this morning and they won't set bail until May 19th. I don't think that they want him out too quickly. I agree with that except that puts all responsibility for the bills and kids on Dae Lynn. He talked to Dae this morning and finally apologized. She went and mowed the church today.....one of Damon's responsibilities.....and her only source of income at the moment. She's doing very good though. I'm planning on going to my cousins with my Aunt Marva this weekend.

Diana, I am so sorry to hear what has happened. I hope Damon learns something from all of this and what he may loose if he continues on this path. Unfortunatly sometimes it takes something like this before it really sinks in. It is amazing how strong our girls can be when it comes to things like this, but do they really have a choice in the matter when they are left to pick up the piece's. I will be praying for you all.
