OK, here's the scoop. It is Orange Glo 2 in 1, wood floor cleaner. DO NOT get the 4 in 1 wood floor cleaner (at least that's what my daughter says). Walmart has the 4 in 1, but I couldn't find the 2 in 1 there. Bed Bath and Beyond is supposed to have the 2 in 1, but the one I went to didn't. My daughter finally found a couple of bottles for us at Target.

There is also an Orange Glo 2 in 1 furniture cleaner/polish - and you do not want that.

I bought a steam cleaner for my floors. They are pet safe since they only use water. I don't know if that's good for the wood though. They do leave moisture behind no matter what the TV commercials tell you!~ I can't use it because my floor is laminate and the water spots show.

Your wood is beautiful Gayle! You really did a great job matching the other wood!
Enjoy your lovely floors!

By the way, dogs do not necessarily stop marking after being neutered. They do it much less if you are lucky, and some stop altogether, but there is no guarantee. Max still marks, but not nearly as much as he did before he was neutered.

Judy my floors are also laminate. Have you used distilled water in your steam cleaner? After I started using that.........it doesn't leave spots anymore.

I did the living room floor today with the orange glo everyday cleaner for hardwood floors and it looks great. I vacuumed first, then just sprayed the cleaner directly on the floor and went over it with a microfiber dust mop.

OK, here's some better pictures.

These are all shots of the living room - this wood floor has been down for 7 years.

Gayle, your wood floors are beautiful and look like a really good match!!! I want wood soooo bad. Hate this carpet, and the tile has grout joints that have to be cleaned, too. Enjoy your new floors!!

Your home is so cozy and pretty Gayle! I love the floors!

I think my house is also 1200 sq ft., but on 2 floors. I was surprised when I moved in because I had way too much stuff from my apartment in Brooklyn! It was a bit larger.

I wouldn't care about the dog messes. I still would love a wood floor!

Enjoy it!

Beautiful Gayle....so beautiful. If I checked right....the living room is hardwood and the other pictures are laminate? or do I have that wrong?

I would love to have this carpet out of here, but everytime I get my hopes up....I get them squashed. I love the look. A friend of mine has wood look linoleum in her kitchen and I really thought it was hardwood or laminate. I never dreamed it was linoleum.

Janet, it is all hardwood - it's just that we put down the wood in the living room 7 years ago, and then when we went to put it in the two bedrooms, the company had gone out of business, so we had to match the living room wood with wood from another company. It didn't take too much looking though, I was surprised that it didn't take us forever to find a good match.

My mom is over here with us this week and she commented today how good the two bedrooms looked. When we put in the wood in the living room 7 years ago, she wouldn't have heard of having wood in the two bedrooms. Now she likes it!

I have heard that the wood look linoleum is really nice - I've heard it from several people, but I've never looked at it. That would be the ticket I think, with all our doggies!

Thanks Gayle. I am going to try and find that.
