I'm going to be a Grandmother!!

This is already all over Facebook, but just had to post here. Karen and Carlton found out Monday afternoon that they are expecting. The baby is due in early August. We are all sooooo excited!!!!

I almost feel guilty for not being on here and then jumping on to make this post. I'm really trying to catch up.

Karen and Carlton were here for two weeks over the holidays and Melissa & Garrett just moved into an extra room, too with their bulldog, so we had a very busy but wonderful holiday.

We cooked so much and cleaned so many dishes though that my hands are like leather. Even Rex noticed when he held my hands one evening. I'll have to put some shea butter or Mary Kay hand emultion on my hands with socks on them for a while to get them soft again. Will need soft hands for the baby.

As if there wasn't already enough to do, I had been wanting to take a photography class, so with the baby coming, I'm definitely taking one. Just sent in my registration today for one through the local arts league. The instructor is supposed to be excellent and his camera of choice is Nikon which I have, so.....

Lots happening & will get busy and read a few threads and see what y'all are all up to!!!

Thank you!!! Karen has her first OB appointment on Tuesday. They will do an ultrasound then. She's having a hard time believing that it's real. I can't wait to hear from her after her appointment.

I'm going to have to fly out there at least once during her pregnancy. Just have to see her with her belly!!

Oh, you will have so much fun, Marilyn! The first grandbaby is so special - not that they all aren't special, but that first one is just something else!!!
