Gayle, I agree, I didn't need or want anything expensive, but I'm glad he thought he could afford something a little better. Now I have lifetime warranty with free cleaning every 6 months (and inspection), and total replacement if it's lost or stolen or if any stones fall out or anything. Without that insurance, he wouldn't have risked taking the ring to Europe! Everyone who has seen the ring says it's unusual! I think it's perfect. I did want something different. Everyone I know has either a big solitaire, or a 3 diamond ring. I thought this was much more unique and it seems more old fashioned and vintage! It's just perfect We got engaged just a few days before we went to Monte Carlo. Our tour guide said that one of the most prestigious hotels in Monaco is right beside the big casino, and we could try to walk in if we wanted, but we'd most likely be turned away at the door. He said if we do try to go in, make sure we go as singles or couples, because they'd know for sure we're tourists in a group. I took Scott's arm and made sure this ring was in full view, and we walked right in like we belonged there! Haha! Only one other couple made it in, and we walked past them in the hall and we both smiled but pretended not to know each other to keep the secret

The ring is stunning Linds! I love that you have a Canadian diamonmd too!
I love the way the band looks around the ring too! Wear it in good health and with tons of happiness! Now, we have to check out wedding gowns!

I think every wedding I've been to for the past 3 years have had brides with the same basic gown with a dropped waist and gathered skirt and I do want something a little different.
