I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm am doing SO WELL!!! I read that it may take months of acid reflux treatment to see some improvement in Laryngopharengeal Reflux disease, so I think mine was not too bad because my throat feels SO MUCH BETTER after only 2 weeks. I'm hardly coughing at all and when I do, it's only a little "cough cough" rather than prolonged spells of violent coughing.
I have radically changed my diet too and am avoiding all the foods known to be linked to acid reflux. So, between the medicine and the diet change, oh and losing weight (because increase weight is also associated with lPR), I'm doing great. I would imagine I can get off the medication after a few months of treatment!!!

That's great news Gayle. I think we would all feel better if we would listen to our bodies and treat them like we should.....but we don't. I'm so glad the changes you've made are working.

Good for you Gayle! My stepmother was able to get off the medicine by eating right. You will do it!
