I'm new here. I cannot tell you how sorry I am to hear this. My just heart breaks for you. Healing from something like this will take time. It's a very personal journey and everyone heals at a different rate. I think that it's important that you be gentle and loving with yourself right now. We who love our fur babies, we understand. Sometimes it just helps to write about your feelings, or talk to family and/or close friends and get it all out. Do whatever works for you to try to get through this difficult time in your life.
