I took my yorkie, Reuger, to my Mom's last year and she's not used to having dogs in her house. I took a chain to tie him outside and I took some belly bands to make sure that he didn't pee in the house and Mom didn't have any problems having him around. You can buy belly bands from e-bay or some of the sellers on YT or you can make them yourself. They're very handy to have.
