I personally think you should go ahead and read Marley and Me, it will help you get all your feelings out, plus, it's just a great book. I loved every page!

As for Inside My Heart, it was so much better than I imagined. She talks a lot about her life, life with Dr. Phil, and their boys. But she also talks about the choices she has made in her life and how we too, can start leading emotionally healthier lives by the choices we make. How not to let people walk over you by the choices we make. She uses the word choices alot in her book, but it is all so inspiring and I think it will help me a lot in the relationship I have with my mother, at least I'm hoping so. She talks about her childhood with an alcoholic father, she could have chosen to hate him for all he put their family through, but she chose to love his good qualities and not his bad. She just puts things in such a good perspective.

Also, it's not one of those self-help books. It's really good reading and like I've said, I really recommend it.
