Here is my recipe
I use ground turkey...I haven't eaten red meat or pork for over 13 yrs. You can use ground beef instead if you want.
1 pkg ground turkey (or beef) 1 egg about 1 1/2 cups of bread crumbs or crushed up stove top stuffing onions (optional) onion powder garlic powder 1 pkg litpton GOLDEN onion soup mix mix all ingredients together and put in pan.cover with tin foil..I cook at 350 for about 45 mins to an hour...I check it before I take it out of the oven to make sure it's done. I serve it with turkey gravy...if you are using ground beef you could use a mushroom gravy, onion gravy or brown gravy. It comes out different everytime but, this is the recipe that I use most often..I used to make it with tomato soup but hubby likes it better this way...As you can see I don't have alot of measurements..I don't measure anything..I've been making it so long I don't have to! LOL I have even used dry ranch dressing instead of the onion soup mix...gives it a little different taste. let us know how yours came out!

This sounds great! I am a huge fan of Horseradish!! YUMMY I have a recipe I copied from Emeril Lagasse for meatloaf but it's really really long. I've made it once and it's WONDERFUL. "Emeril's Most Kicked-UP Meatloaf Ever" Ingr's... 2 TBsp butter 1 lrg onion, chopped 1 rib celery, finely chopped 1/2 red bell pepper, finely chopped 2 tsps minced garlic, plus 1 tsp 1 tsp chopped thyme leaves 1 tsp chopped rosemary 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley 2 eggs 1 1/2 tsp dijon mustard 1/2 cup ketchup, plus 1/4 cup 2 TBSP plus 1 tsp worchestershire sauce 1/2 cup heavy cream 2/3 breadcrumbs 1 lb ground chuck 1/2 lb pork sausage (such as breakfast sausage) 1/2 lb ground veal (i didnt use this because i couldn't find it) 1 1/2 tsp salt 2 tsp plus 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper 4 slices bacon, cut in half 2 TBSP white or red wine vinegar 1/2 cup canned tomoatoes, chopped or crushed dir's... heat butter over med heat till melted. Add all but 1/4 cup of onions, celery, and all but 2 tablespoons bell pepper. cook about 6 min's. Add 2 tsps of the garlic, the thyme, rosemary, and parsley. cook for 2 min's. remove from heat and allow to cool. Preheat oven to 350 degree's. Transfer vegi mixture when cooled to a mixing bowl and add the eggs, mustard, 1/4 cup of the ketchup, 1 tsp of worchestershire sauce, and heavy cream. Mix/combine. Add the breadcrumbs and the meat, 1 tsp of the salt, 1/4 tsp of the pepper and mix. Do NOT overmix. Transfer to a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan and form the meat into pan. arrange the bacon on top of the meatloaf. Set aside. In a small saucepan, combine the remaining 1/4 cup onion, red bell pepper, garlic, ketchup, worchestershire sauce, and canned tomatoes. bring to a boil and cook until thickened, about 5 min's. Pour the sauce over the uncooked meatloaf and bake for an hour. Or until meat is done and bacon is carmalized. Remove from over and cover w/ foil. Allow to rest for about 10 min's. Serve w/ mac/cheese and green vegi. YUMMY!!

Boy you guys go all out for your meatloaf. Since I hate to cook....I just use a lb hamburger, 1/2 package of crackers, some ketchup, Liipton onion soup mix, couple of eggs and smush it all together into a loaf and bake it. Nothing fancy, never measure the ingredients, but it always tastes good.

I would too if I'd stay off the computer!!! lolol That and the fact I just never liked cooking that much. I mean I cook, but usually no more than I have to and hardly ever something fancy. If it don't come in a box, frozen or can, it's a little too much work. My thought has always been I guess...I just hate making a mess just to have to clean it up again. Maybe if I fixed better, healthier meals I wouldn't be so darn fat!!

This is my receipe for meatloaf...
1lb. of sirloin chopmeat 2 eggs I mix in by eye, seasoned breadcrumbs and grated italian cheese about 1/2 each give or take. salt and pepper to taste garlic powder to taste an 8oz can of tomato sauce, I use about 1/2 the can and mix into chopmeat the rest I pour over the chopmeat as it is browning in oven. Once I mix all together, I flatted the meatloaf and place a few slices of ham and mozzarella cheese then I close and form the meatloaf. Cook until golden brown and center is cooked on 350.. |

I make mine different all the time - but one thing I ALWAYS do is rub Parm Cheese all over the outside of the meatloaf right before cooking it and a heavy layer on top - it makes it so yummy
