My daughter and DIL make them, they are so warm. She uses 2 yards of fabric per side. Usually a print and then a contrasting color. Lay them out and measure 4 inches in from each corner so you have notches on each corner, cut out those 4 inch sections. Then measure in from the edge 4 inches and mark and make cuts with good scissors, then just go back and tie them off. One secret is to not tie them too tight so that they don't pucker. They wash beautifully and I have never had such warm blankets. We have them for all family members and even the dogs have them on their beds and in the truck. I started to do this last night...when I got to the corners I didn't know what to do..I had to cut off the bottom (where I had already cut and tied) because it didn't look right....

So what you are saying is I have to actually cut out the corner?
And the tied pieces are 4 inches long? Do I tie each 4 inch peice or do I take 2 and tie them together?
