Jlynn, he's a standard poodle. I bought him for myself as a birthday gift last fall. He's just a big cuddle bug. Very sweet natured and mellow for such a young one.
He's approaching 60 lbs now and is quite leggy, so will be at the upper ranges of the breed standard. His sire was a large dog and apricot as well. He's the first of his breed that I've had. I usually go for rotties, german shepherds, or border collies. Because I have 2 young kids living next door and 2 young granddaughters, I wanted a dog that would be safe around them, so ended up with Moses. He's excellent even with my "almost 2 yr old" granddaughter. They stand nose to nose... she giggles, he wiggles, and they adore each other. I have fallen firmly in love with him.

He is soooo cute, Tink!!! And he sounds like a wonderful pet! There's a lot of big dogs that are really good around little children. We have an airdale named Mollee and she's just great with kids. She just loves the attention!
