Janet..... ... this is one that you would like (no birds!!!)

OSSO BUCO


1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tablespoon basil-dried
2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp salt
2 carrots sliced
1 small onion chopped
4 two inch thick slices veal shank (about 2& 3/4 lbs.)
1 can 28oz. crushed tomatoes UNDRAINED
1 cup cooking wine or chicken broth
2 celery ribs chopped



in medium bowl combine flour basil oregano thyme salt and black pepper. Coat veal shanks with flour mixture . Put in crock pot. Add tomatoes with their liquid and the wine or broth to the remaining flour mixture and stir until smooth. Pour tomato flour mixture over veal. Arrrange celery, carrots, and onion around the veal.Cover and cook on low for 8 hours and serve over noodles!!! Your hubby will LOVE it and so will you!!!Enjoy!!!
