I've been MIA as well and only by chance did I stop in tonight to see your post. My new job has all my sites blocked - this one, YT, and the lab site I just joined (at that time). I don't want to "steal" your thread but a lot has been going on with me as well - new job that keeps me busy, busy, busy (managing a 3 physician & 1 nurse practitioner office - whew!!) and baseball with our youngest really picked up back in May (they travel to Pineville, Louisiana to play in the USSSA World Series tournament next week). On top of that, I almost lost my precious Gabby over Memorial Week-end It scares me to death to remember just how close I came to her not being in my life anymore. She developed a deep yeast infection on all four of her paws which, in scratching, she transferred to her ears and her mouth (which in turn ended up in her throat and GI tract). After 4 nights and 5 days at the vet on iv fluids and antibiotics, we got to bring her home. She lost 2 pounds during the illness and after a few days at home, she bounced right back to her bossy self The cause of her illness?? The only thing the vet could determine, because we did nothing new diet-wise with her, is we put in a stone patio and secured it with cement. He said she probably got the dry mix on her feet and when she licked, it became wet which in turn became acidic on her feet. I've always been real careful where my furbabies are concerned and just never, ever thought dry concrete mix could be so harmful! We made sure there was no dry mix anywhere in the yard before we allowed her to venture out in it after coming home.

Again, sorry to have "hi-jacked" your thread. Best of luck on the move! Will your email address stay the same? I'd hate to lose touch with you!! Oh, and Mae is just adorable I'll have to get you some pics of her. She's now 5 months old (almost) and weighs about 22 pounds - and her daddy says she's a smart little girl - sits on command, lays down on command, heels, and comes - now he's just got to work with her on her blood trailing since he wants to use her to track deer this winter. Good luck in school - I know you'll do GREAT!!!

Hi Rebecca,

It's so good to see you back. I hope the move goes well. Law school sounds very exciting too!

You have a lot going on. I hope you have some time to let us inow how everything is going.

Judy

Thanks, Judy! You are so sweet!!! I'll definately keep everyone updated on how everything goes! It will be stressful for awhile but I'm really looking forward to the big move.

That totally sucks that they blocked you from all your FUN at work! How dare them! So where are you moving? (I know I must be the only one that didn't get the memo about this!) I'm so excited for you. I remember you talking about going to school again, that's so great it's just around the corner!
And moving into a house will be fantastic! I totally understand the whole 'needing a woman's touch'. When I moved in with my bf it had previously been a bachelor house and it seriously needed a bit of 'girly love'.
So many changes in your life right now Rebecca, you much be so excited! Keep us informed, and take care.
Ps, I loved seeing those photos of your pups! They're so cute!!!!
