Anyone Else Here Have Fibromyalgia?
Hi. I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and was wanting to talk to some others who also have it. It took 5 doctors and more than a year to FINALLY find out what was wrong with me. I was begining to think it was just all in my head and that I was going crazy. If it wasnt for my husband I would have given up a long time ago. Some days I feel like I am 80, im only 24.
Is there anything to help ease the pain? They have me on meds, but they are not working. |

Hi Kelley! I'm glad you finally got a diagnosis. I know how awful it is to have constant pain and not have a name to put to it (though my pain is much different).
My mom has a friend who has fibromyalgia and she is often in a lot of pain too. I hope they are able to find the right combination of medications for you so the pain will go away. Good luck and welcome to 4wt!

Welcome to 4WT, Kelly! We're glad that you're here. I'm sorry to hear that you're suffering from fibromyalgia. I take some vitamins that are suppose to be really good for people with fibromyalgia. They're kinda' expensive but if they help you feel better then it's worth it. I checked the web-site and it doesn't say anything about fibromyalgia, but here's a couple of articles that mention the product I'm talking about, Mannatech's Ambrotose. This is not a quick fix vitamin. To get the full effects you have to be on it for 4-6 months.
Here's the website for the company. www.mannatech.com http://www.sweetvibranthealth.com/do...da%20Woman.pdf http://www.healingthroughunity.org/n...mber_2004.html I have trouble with being tired and when I'm on this I feel so much better. Check it out. I hope this helps.--Diana

Can your Dr. who diagnosed this, recommend a specialist you could see? There are specialists for just about everything now, I would check into it and see if there is someone out there who can help you.

I have thought about trying acupuncture, had the injections and they did nothing. Good luck to you.
