What is the most special relationship in your life?

We are so lucky as human beings to be able to love many people and have many special relationships in our lives. I love my husband, he is my soulmate and believe we were born to be together. My mom is my best friend. She is always there for me. My brother is eight years younger than I and I have always felt very protective and maternal towards him. But of all the relationships in my life, my most special one is with my grandmother. My grandmother is the love of my life. I am the oldest granddaughter and her favorite. She is legally blind and every weekend as a child I would stay with her and go to church with her on Sundays. Whenever she had errands to run, I would always go with her. Now that I live further away, I don't see her as much and I miss her. She calls me at work practically every day. I am 30 years old and she still try to give me money for bus fare, even though she lives off of social security and she won't rest until I guiltily take it. She actually plays the lottery so that if she wins, she can buy my husband and I a house. I cannot imagine my life without her and the day she leaves me I don't know what I would do. This a pic of us together last year on my birthday.

What a great picture, one I'm sure you'll cherish for your lifetime. You are very lucky. My grandparents were gone, by the time I was born and I never knew them or what it was like to have grandparents. I did get to know my husbands grandparents and they were the greatest, what I always pictured grandparents to be.

My most precious relationship is with my son and then my best friend of near 25 years. I can't imagine my life without either one. How my best friend has put up with me all these years is beyond me. She knows me better than anyone in this world and loves me anyway and I would give my life for her. I get teary eyed just thinking about how awful it would be for her not to be in my life.

What a beautiful picture of you and your Grandmother! As you, I cherished my relationship with my Grandmother and adored her to no end. I also as you, could not imagine my life without her in it. She has since passed and even though she is gone, I still feel her. It doesn't get any better than that!!

My grandmother is very religious and she prays for us every day. I know that when she is no longer with me she will still be up there pestering God to take care of us. I guess your grandmother is up there doing the same thing for you. We are very blessed to have such wonderful women in our lives.
