We Made It !!!

We sure did, and i'm so glad yesterday is over!!!!!!!!!!

I was occupied all day with my son, and hes friends, trying to keep an eye on them while they played with fireworks, by the time we had dinner, i was exhausted, my husband asked if i needed a "valium" LOL... asked him to poor me a stiff drink instead.

What was the best is that not one of my girls showed ANY signs of fear for the loud bangs, that really made my day, i'm so proud of my munchkins!!

There were about 6 of these teens behind our house where i know they cant get into trouble or at least, i hoped so.
The sad part was, after about an hour of their fun, one of the friends lit a pretty heavy cracker, but the cord was too short, and it exploded in hes hand, poor kid.

I was busy in the kitchen when i saw them come running thru the backyard, i threw the door open, knowing something was up, when i saw this child hold his hand, i knew i had to stay calm on the inside i was freaking out.
My husband told me what to do while he rushed off to get stuff for the burns, i kept wiping his face with a cold facecloth, and gave him a soda, as i saw him turn white as a sheet.
He wasnt feeling any pain, couldnt feel hes hand, but hes ears were buzzing.
After my husband came back, and looked at hes wounds, he said we best call the mother, or father, and tell them what happend, and will take him in to emergancies.
The mom said shes on her way, she was here within minutes, we wrapped him up, and she took him in.
We called in the afternoon to see how he is, he has some bad burns, but is doing ok!

In the afternoon another one of them, got hes hand slammed between the shed door where they kept their supply.
He came running in for help, so we had his hand wrapped in an icepack, i put ointment on, my husband bandaged him up, and off he went.

We went to bed at 4am, i dont know how i managed to stay up LOL ... slept till noon!!
