Probably not.
But I would want to say some more personal things to family. We have a family bible that has been passed down from family to family since the 1800's. we made copies of it and have it stored in a protective location. It is very interesting to read what my great great great great ... grandmother wrote. I am sure technology will change some things in the future. But people will be people. Emotions will be emotions. I would have to tell them not to sweat the little stuff. The big stuff is still coming. But, I would never put personal stuff in a public capsule. |

I couldnt think of anything so I asked my friend Jemmor!
she said a copy of her passport, a copy of her ticket from when she came this country. A current newspaper. An electical gadget to show the changes in technology. A map of the state so you could see how times change boundaries. |

The first things that come to mind for me are journals, diaries, poems, letters to and from Brendon, photos...I'll have to think about it some more...
But like Michelle said, I'd only put this type stuff in if I knew it'd be seen by my family and not the general public.

I would put in pictures of my family and of myself with them. I would also put in pix of my parents, the rest of my extended family, a copy of a book of my father's stories and I would write a memoir of my perspective on the times I lived through. I'd probably find a lot more, but that's all I can think of for now.

This is tough. For one thing, I'd put a Bible with a listing of key verses so the person who found it could more easily learn the authority of the book they'd just found, and the steps to salvation.
I'd put a journal with information about my family, some pictures, how we lived, what we did, our hopes and dreams for the future. Some political buttons from the past, just for interest. Pictures of how our town looks right now for comparison. I have actually left boards with pencil writing on them in the walls of homes being built with pertinant information about the builder, owner, times & dates, etc, just for grins.
