Through a GA program. It pays all of tuition plus about $670/month...that's what I've been told anyway. I have to look into more thoroughly, but I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it's true! You should look into your grad program and see if they pay GA tuition. Just make sure you work for a good professor. I've been told some are slave-drivers and others are awesome.

No problem. I didn't even know about it myself until I talked to a secretary a few days ago. She randomly brought it up when I said I didn't know if I'd be able to pay for grad school. I always knew GA's existed (been taught by a few of them), but I never knew they got tuition paid for and a little extra for living expenses. That's a really great deal!

yeah that is so awesome!! cuz that means for me that i'll be able to move out of my house and still go to school!!!!!!! and possibly marry my bf... the big thing right now is that my parents will stop paying for school if i move out... so that's a big deal... aww... you made my day

Aww, that makes me happy! Glad I was able to help. You could also apply for scholarships on top of that and maybe get even more money to live off of. That's how I'm able to go through my undergrad without working. I have a few grants and several scholarships. It's really nice to be able to focus completely on school and not have the stress of a job on top of it.
